Mom, Watch This: Playful Boldness on the Water
It was a warm afternoon by the river. A mother duck led her fluffy brigade downstream. Six ducklings paddled behind her in wobbly formation, each one trying to mimic her steady glide.
But then—splash!
One tiny duckling broke formation. With a burst of excitement and a flurry of little wings, it popped upright in the water, teetering like a circus performer mid-act. The others paused, beaks tilted, as if to say, "Here we go again."
"Mom, watch this!" the little one seemed to declare, puffing out its chest proudly, as if inventing a new duck sport on the spot.
Mother duck glanced over her shoulder—part amused, part resigned, fully mom. She gave a soft quack that said, "Yes, very nice, dear. Now let’s keep moving."
The duckling plopped back down with a tiny splash and scrambled to rejoin the group—damp, delighted, and already dreaming of its next stunt.
Just another charming detour in the delightful chaos of duckling life on the river.
