Meet JB

Hi, I’m Jessica Bayless — a nature and wildlife photographer, a mother of three, and someone who’s always felt most alive in the wild places of the world.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology: Conservation and Natural Resources and a minor in Photography from the University of Central Missouri, I’ve built my work around both a scientific understanding of ecosystems and a creative drive to capture them with honesty and intention.

My photography is rooted in patience and deep respect — whether I’m tracking movement through tall grass, waiting for just the right light, or observing wildlife from a distance. I’m drawn to the quiet moments, the raw beauty, and the details that often go unnoticed.

Being a mom of three has taught me how to be flexible, present, and always aware of the little things — lessons that carry over into my photography in powerful ways. Time outside, whether with my camera or my kids, is where I feel most connected.

When I’m not in the field or editing from behind the screen, I’m probably planning my next shoot, out exploring with my family, or simply enjoying the peace that comes with being outdoors.

If you’re looking for photography that honors the natural world and tells a real, grounded story — I’d love to connect.
